Metta or Loving Kindness meditation is a beautiful, brave and sometimes confronting meditation practice that awakens the heart to love.
Taught 2500 years ago by the Buddha as an antidote to fear, the practice enables us to not only connect deeply to our intrinsic goodness but to ultimately foster a wise and inclusive love for those around us; friends, strangers and those that have hurt us. In trying times around the world, this practice may help us feel a little less alone and a little more interconnected.
