Viken Arman

Viken Arman pushes the boundaries of electronic music by combining ancient melodies with electronic beats to create a vibe that goes beyond dance music, taking rich cultures in mystical magical journeys. He is one that does not restrict himself and instead wishes to explore boundless possibilities. 

Revolving around jazz and classical music growing up, he draws his inspiration from a wide range of artists such as Keith Jarrett, Erik Satie, Bill Evans, Jay Dilla, Ricardo Villalobos and even Arabic diva, Oum Khalthoum. His piano background combined with his time at a music conservatory, plays a huge influence and provides an artistic ease in his wide musical culture. 

While making music, Viken pledges and actively promotes young and upcoming talents from around the world. He strongly supports the music scene and organizes his own events with the SOUQ festival. Being the founder of Denature Records, he describes it as more than just a label but more of a family. His music is ingrained with ethnic influences and reveals the passionate explorer that he embodies.
